Carol Washington, LCSW

Assistant Vice President of Mental Health Outpatient Services

I graduated from Rutgers University with a bachelor's degree in Psychology. I later went on to grad school and attended Rutgers School of Social Work to earn a Master's degree in Social Work. I obtained my clinical license and became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have over 35 years of administrative, clinical, and supervisory experience. I have worked with youth, adults, teens, and families in a multitude of settings. I have enjoyed assisting people in need.

During these many years of providing services, I have had great success with several challenging populations such as the homeless, serious and persistent mentally ill, justice-involved adults and youth with mental illness, at-risk youth, and aging out youth. I am committed to providing services that fit our clients and community's unique and challenging needs. I am a service-focused Social Worker, Director, and Clinician seeking to effect change and produce positive outcomes. On a personal note, I enjoy traveling, hanging out at the beach, spending time with family and friends who are special to me, kicking it with the girls, and going to dinner, shows, concerts, museums, theater, and workshops. God, music, art, exercise, healthy eating, and outdoor activities are very important to my functioning. I take a holistic approach to life and try to maintain a good balance of mental, physical, and spiritual health. "Life is too short to wear tight shoes." I work hard and play hard.
